Scribblenauts 2 announced

BAFTA-nominated Scribblenauts will get a sequel, it has been confirmed.

Developer 5th Cell unveiled Scribblenauts 2 in the latest issue of American magazine Nintendo Power.

It will feature improved controls, hundreds of new stages, a level editor and 10,000 new words. This will allow users to spell out the name of more objects needed to solve puzzles.

Last month publisher Warner Interactive announced Scribblenauts had sold 1m copies worldwide. It also took away the best original game award at E3 last year.

Scribblenauts 2 is scheduled for an autumn release in the US, and buyers can expect the game to arrive on these shores by the end of the year.
