Sega confirms Vancouver 2010 game

Publisher Sega has announced that Vancouver 2010 – the Official Video Game of the Olympic Winter Games, will arrive on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC next winter.

The announcement follows Sega’s agreement with the International Sports Multimedia, the official licensee of the Winter Olympics, and will be developed by Beijing 2008 studio, Eurocom.

Vancouver 2010 will set a new standard for the Olympic-themed video games genre,” said Eurocom director, Hugh Binns.

With the innovative first person mode to immerse players even more in the game, an all new challenge mode providing hours of entertainment and stunning high definition graphics, Vancouver 2010 will be a fantastic experience.”

The game is scheduled for early 2010, after the release of Sega’s other Olympics tie-in, Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Winter Games.
