Sky Player gets Xbox rebranding

Though it will make little difference to users of the service, Microsoft has confirmed that as of tomorrow (July 6th) the Xbox 360 Sky Player will be rebranded as Sky Go.

Users will have to accept new T&Cs, though all other conditions remains the same – users must have a Sky subscription and must be Xbox Live Gold members.

Sky Go will, like the Sky Player before it, be Kinect compatible.

Once activated a customer’s Xbox 360 becomes a registered Sky device and can be used to access the broadcaster’s satellite channels over the internet.

At the last count there were around one million UK users of the service.
