Sonic is racing on to movie screens

Sony Pictures Entertainment has teamed up with Sega-owned film production company Marza Animation Planet to develop a Sonic the Hedgehog movie.

The film, based on the hit video game property, is set to be a mix of CG-animation and live action and will be written by Evan Susser and Van Robichaux.

The big screen adventure will look to ‘capture Sonic’s irreverent tone and spirit’ and will feature a whole host of iconic characters from the franchise, including Dr. Eggman.
