Sony kicks off Indian manufacturing of PS3 games

Sony has finally begun manufacturing PS3 games in India, with the first lot of locally manufactured games set to hit stores by the end of the month.

Initially, local manufacturing will be focussed on Sony’s first-party PS3 Essentials range. The first games to arrive in stores will be Killzone 3, Resistance 3, Uncharted 2: Among Thieves, and God of War Collections 1 and 2.

Those will be followed by God of War 3 and Heavy Rain Move Edition, which will arrive next month.

These Essentials titles will be priced at Rs 999, down from Sony’s earlier Rs 1,199 pricing.
