Sony releases forgotten PS2 classics on PS3

Some of PS2’s most critically acclaimed but commercially unspectacular titles have been confirmed for release for PS3 on PSN this week.

Cult RPGs GrimGrimoire and Odin Sphere headline the pack. Both titles were released fairly late on in the PS2’s lifespan and have become collectible SKUs amongst hardcore gaming circles.

Other titles in the offer are Capcom’s offbeat fighter God Hand, Maximo: Ghosts to Glory and Ring of Red.

This week also sees the kicking off of Sony’s new ‘Only on PSN’ campaign which will highlight one exclusive PS3 download each week, commencing with side-scrolling acting outing Rochard.

This will be followed by Eufloria, Sideway: new York, Okabu, Rocketbirds, infamous 2 expansion Festival of Blood and Pixeljunk Sidescroller.
