Sony shows off new look PS3 Home

Though there’s still no word on when it will arrive with PS3 gamers, or even when to expect a public beta, Sony has shown off the latest build of its console social networking community Home to attendees at a recent technology show in Monte Carlo,

reports.

The most obvious changes include a substantial upsizing of many of the in-world locations, with previously indoor environments being replaced with larger, open-world settings.

Places such as the movie theatre have also been upscaled, and now include a bowling alley and arcade area. A series of chess and checkers tables have also appeared in the ‘game’s’ town square.

Sony also confirmed that Home development kits have already been sent out to third party software partners.
