Splatterhouse set for 2010

Namco Bandai has announced that Splatterhouse will arrive on Xbox 360 and PS3 in Europe in 2010.

The game is a re-boot of the classic 1988 beat ’em up Arvade game, which was originally being worked on by BottleRocket Entertainment before being taken in-house.

Today’s console technology is literally decades ahead of what powered Splatterhouse when it made its first indelible bloody mark on gaming, which means we now have gore like never before for all the fans and the new generation of gamers lining up to get to grips with Rick,” said Namco Bandai’s European VP of sales and marketing Hiroaki Ochiai.

If you have the stomach for it, there’s nothing more satisfying than beating a hell beast to death with its own leg.”
