Star Wars Battlefront’s PS4 player base bigger that Xbox One and PC combined, report claims

It looks like PS4 is ruling the roost when it comes to EA’s new shooter Star Wars Battlefront.

Polygon picked up on numbers from a third-party stat-tracking site that suggest the number of gamers playing the game on PS4 is more than the combined total of those on both Xbox One and PC.

Specifically, PS4 has a 24hr total player peak on 183,329 people. Xbox One, meanwhile, has hit 104,993 while PC has managed 48,292. Even when combined the latter two platforms still fall nearly 30k short of PS4.

At the time of writing there are 56,691 people playing on PS4, 19,295 on Xbox One and 13,002 on PC. The numbers apparently drawn directly from EA’s servers.

In the UK, where the game has debuted at No.1 in the charts, PS4 accounted for 59 per cent of all Battlefront physical sales, with Xbox One at 39 per cent and PC at two per cent. These numbers exclude digital sales.
