Star Wars Rise Against the Empire to feature in Disney Infinity 3.0

The Force looks like it will be very strong in Disney Infinity 3.0.

Disney has detailed its Star Wars Rise Against the Empire Play Set, which is just one of three that will be released for the game.

It will recreate a handful of scenes from the original trilogy (IV-VI) including the attack on Hoth, Leia’s capture on Tantive IV, the speeder bike chase on Endor and Han’s encounter with Greedo at Mos Eisley.

Luke and Leia figures will be included in the Play Set with Darth Vader, Han Solo and Chewbacca being available separately.

The other two Play Sets are called Twilight of the Republic and The Force Awakens.

The first will be included with the Disney Infinity 3.0 Edition Starter Pack due out this autumn and comes with Anakin Skywalker and Ahsoka Tano figures, suggesting it will be based on the animated Clone Wars series. The latter is of course based on the upcoming film.

Play Sets have also been confirmed for upcoming Pixar movie Inside Out and the recently released Avengers movie.

Disney shouldn’t, however, be too proud of this technical terror that it’s constructed. The ability to release three Star Wars Play Sets for Disney Infinity 3.0 is insignificant next to the power of the Force. At least, that’s what we’ve heard.
