Steam top ten sellers: October 4-10

Early Access hit Ark: Survival Evolved has retaken the top spot on Steam’s weekly best sellers chart, thanks to a feature discount promotion on Valve’s storefront.

Last week’s push helped the in-development survival gamereach 2m sales(and counting) prior to official release, and beat out Valve’s own Counter-Strike: Global Offensive and Rockstar’s GTA V during the period.

Pre-orders for Fallout 4 are picking up, with the upcoming title climbing to fourth just ahead of Civilization: Beyond Earth’s new expansion Rising Tide. Fresh out of Early Access, indie prison management sim Prison Architect climbed onto the chart and up to the sixth spot.

A late in the week debut by Telltale’s Minecraft: Story Mode was strong enough in sales for the game to enter the top ten in the cutoff position. Here’s the full list:

  1. Ark: Survival Evolved
  2. Counter-Strike: Global Offensive
  3. Grand Theft Auto V
  4. Fallout 4
  5. Civilization: Beyond Earth – Rising Tide
  6. Prison Architect
  7. Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain
  8. Rocket League
  9. This War of Mine
  10. Minecraft: Story Mode – A Telltale Games Series
