Team YP disbands Overwatch roster

Team YP, the esports outfit run and sponsored by adult entertainment site YouPorn, has disbanded.

The news comes from Clément ‘Quoizamama’ Dubois, who tweeted the news to his personal Twitter account.

The team’s roster includes Valentine ‘Valmaster’ Petit, Dubois, Gregory ‘XEWER’ Boye, Enzo ‘Zenko’ Perri, Ivan ‘Osnazeni’ Markeljic  and Huge ‘Jio’ Delabrouille. Petit also played for the team as a Street Fighter IV player, and it’s unclear whether he’ll be retained on the roster, however Petit did retweet Dubois’ tweet, without making any further comments about his own role.

Team YP signed its Overwatch roster last year, with substantial changes to the team in February, April and June. It seems the company still wasn’t getting what they wanted from their Overwatch team, and now it has been canned.

This sheds some doubt on Team YP’s future as an esports organisation. If Petit has departed the team’s roster, the sole remaining player on Team YP’s books is Super Smash Bros player Griffin ‘Fatality’ Miller.
