Tesco to make movies

Tesco has announced it is to make films based on best-selling novels, which will be sold exclusively through its stores.

The first film will be based on Jackie Collins’ story Paris Connections, and will be produced by Amber Entertainment.

Other authors set to receive the Tesco film treatment includes Jacqueline Wilson, Philip Pullman and Dick Francis.

The first film is due for release this year, with filming due to start later this month. The cast is currently under-wraps, but Tesco says to expect big stars.
