That’s it for the 2TB Xbox One S, report suggests

Microsoft won’t be releasing any more stock of the 2TB Xbox One S, it has been claimed.

The high-capacity version of Microsoft’s slimmed-down console went on sale last week, but stock quickly dried up, leading to prices rocketing from third party sellers online.

Now Eurogamer reports that Microsoft supposedly has no plans to restock the machine, which seems like a bizarre decision if true.

As a result, those wanting a 2TB version of the console face forking out 399 for the upcoming red Gears of War themed special edition due out in October. There are still 1TB and 500GB versions of the hardware to come, of course, although we’re yet to hear of a release date for either.
