The Nvidia GTX 770 arrives today, costs £329

Nvidia has today released the long-rumoured GTX 770 PC graphics card.

It will retail for just 329 and is based on the company’s Keplar architecture, which also powers the likes of the GTX 650, 660, 670, 680 and 690.

It comes with either 2GB or 4GB or DDR5 RAM that clocks at an impressive 7Gbps. Prices for the 4GB version are unknown at the time of going to press.

Only Nvidia GPUs consistently provide gamers with the ability to achieve extremely fast frame rates at high-definition resolutions with all of the eye candy turned on,” GeForce GPU business GM Scott Herkelman stated.

The GeForce GTX 770 represents a new threshold of performance and features for under $400 and our commitment to PC gaming is why GeForce GPUs continue to be the no.1 choice of gamers worldwide.”

The GTX 770 is Nvidia’s second GPU card release in a week following last week’s arrival of the high-end GTX 780, which retails for 549. That’s built on Keplar’s GK110 architecture, much like the company’s most powerful GPU – the 800 Titan.

Interestingly the GTX 780 comes with 3GB of DDR5 RAM clocked at 6Gbps – less than the 4GB 7Gbps 770 offering.
