The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt unveiled as next generation RPG

Game Informer’s latest issue is set to take the lid off of The Witcher 3, in all of its next-gen glory.

A leaked cover shot of the latest Game Informer magazine (by way of Polygon) reveals the game as: "The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. A must see next generation RPG."

The game will be entirely open world, and is being pitched as a perfect entry point” for new players of the series. The magazine’s content page reads:

CD Projekt Red’s The Witcher 3 takes the series’ dark fantasy universe and non-linear storytelling into a truly open world for the first time. Even if you haven’t been following Geralt’s exploits so far, The Witcher 3 offers a perfect entry point.”

No release date or platforms have been mentioned as of yet, but expect it on PC along with Sony and Microsoft’s upcoming consoles.
