Thief runs at 900p on Xbox One, 1080p on PS4

Square Enix’s Thief is the latest game to run at a lower resolution on Xbox One than it does on PS4.

Eurogamer has had confirmation that the game runs at 900p on Xbox One and 1080p on PS4. But releases run at 30fps.

"You really need good eyes to see the difference," game director Nicolas Cantin told Eurogamer. [The Xbox One version] is as good as the PS4 version. [The] resolution doesn’t make much of a difference".

It was revealed yesterday that the upcoming Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes will run at 720p on Xbox One and 1080p on PS4.

The pair are the latest in a long line of games that offer an increased resolution or framerate boost on PS4 including Call of Duty: Ghosts, Battlefield 4, Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag, Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition as well as upcoming titles The Witcher 3 and Watch Dogs.
