This year’s Call of Duty is a futuristic sci-fi shooter, report says

Having flirted with the near-future, 2016’s Call of Duty will mark a more radical departure for the series.

Eurogamer reports that online rumours about the game being set in the very far future”, featuring space combat” and being full-on sci-fi” are correct.

Infinity Ward is indeed the developer, but the title will in no way be a sequel to Ghosts, which fared less well than some other titles in the series.

Nothing else has yet been said about the title, although presumably it will be released in November.
