Three senior execs leave AMD

GPU and CPU manufacturer AMD has parted company with three of its leading executives.

Reuters reports that GM of AMD’s computing and graphics business group John Byrne, chief marketing officer Colette LaForce and chief strategy officer Raj Naik have all departed the firm.

CEO Lisa Su, who was promoted to CEO last October at the same time as the company announced that it was to chop seven per cent of its workforce, will assume Byrne’s duties until a replacement is hired.

AMD said the changes are "part of implementing an optimal organization design and leadership team to further sharpen our execution and position AMD for growth".

The company’s stock price has halved since 2011, despite its winning lucrative deals to produce the innards of both the PS4 and Xbox One.
