Tomb Raider multiplayer revealed by UK retailer

UK retailer Game has accidentally revealed that Tomb Raider will feature multiplayer, a first for the franchise.

The information was listed on the Game website’s Tomb Raider product page and has since been removed.

Listed under key features was Survive as a Team: Play a variety of multiplayer modes as Lara’s Shipmates or Yamatai’s Scavengers”.

The listing seems to hint at both competitive multiplayer as well as Horde mode-like team survival mode.

Square Enix hasn’t officially confirmed multiplayer for the series reboot, but that announcement could be forthcoming in the new year.

Tomb Raider is scheduled for release on 5th March for Xbox 360, PS3 and PC.
