Tony Hawk: Ride sequel hinted

Despite the luke-warm reception that has so far greeted Tony Hawk: Ride’s arrival on the market, it seems that work is already underway on the sequel.

Tony hawk himself said yesterday on Twitter: [I] just met with @robomodo about our next project and it’s already much better than I expected. Details soon.”

The rumours back up reports from November last year that pointed to the development of Ride 2, with developer Robomodo hiring talent for work on a new ‘extreme sports game’.

Despite being initially touted as the game to reverse the franchise’s dwindling popularity, Tony Hawk: Ride has been derided by critics and failed to perform at retail.

So fierce has the criticism been that Tony Hawk himself was forced to defend the title.
