Trade day added to Gadget Show Live

A trade event has been added to The Gadget Show Live, bolstering the hugely popular consumer expo.

The Gadget Show Live Professional will take place on Tuesday April 12th, the day before the five-day consumer exhibition takes place at the Birmingham NEC.

Some 250 companies will take part in the business-focused expo, showcasing the latest technology, software and, of course, video games. The likes of Square Enix, Sony, Kung Fu Live, GAME and Disney Interactive Studios have already been announced as exhibitors.

The event also boasts a specific Game Zone, that will feature developers showcasing the latest video games.

Organisers say that 90,000 consumer visitors will attend The Gadget Show between April 13th and 17th, creating what they say is the biggest technology and consumer electronics event in the UK. A number of free seminar sessions will also take place during the show.

Around 4,500 trade visitors and 500 members of press are expected to attend The GSL Professional day.

We are extremely pleased to be announcing the launch of The GSL Professional,” said event director Matt Hodgins.

Following the incredible success of the consumer event we are delighted to be able to extend the event provide anyone with a professional interest in this market the opportunity to meet with key suppliers in one place and within a business-focused environment.

This year’s event will also host the largest Game Zone seen at the event. With a selection of developers unveiling new games and some of the market leaders hosting major competitions we are very much looking forward to delivering a first-class trade event for anyone with a business interest in gaming.”
