Traplight closes second round of funding

Finland-based mobile studio Traplight Games has closed a recent round of funding totaling €1.3m.

Games Industryreports the second funding round brings the Big Bang Racing developer’s lifetime total to €2m. The studio’s racing game is based around user-generated content – which has gone well enough for the studio to prioritize it for all of its titles.

Investors are on board with the approach as well, with the funding round led by Initial Capital, along with contributions from others including Sunstone Capital, Finnvera Venture Capital, and King’s user acquisition expert Kenrick Drijkoningen – who stated the game has a massive target market.”

"We are thrilled to get further game industry talent and expertise on board at Traplight" CEO Riku Rakkola stated. "The funding will help us finalise our debut title, which is scheduled to launch in 2016, and it provides us the opportunity to concentrate on new game projects."
