Tropico 5 hits PC next month, other platforms later this year

Tropico 5 will launch in May on Windows PC and several other platforms later this year, publisher Kalypso has announced.

The PC version will initially release via digital channels on May 23rd, and arrive at retail for the platform on May 27th.

Kalypso also revealed that Mac and Xbox 360 versions are in the works for a summer release, with a PS4 editionconfirmed earlier this year for the fall. Neither PS3 or Xbox One platforms were noted.

Lastly, the publisher is planning an extensive” SteamOS version, to become available whenever the myriad of various Steam Machines go on sale.

Tropico 5 will span multiple eras, spanning from colonial 19th century through to the future – or whatever you as El Presidente make of it.
