The first episode of Ubisoft Montpellier’s World War I adventure game Valiant Hearts: The Great War has been made free on iOS.
The episode, previously priced at $4.99, can be downloaded for no cost. The three remaining parts are now offered as in-app purchases – either in a bundle for $8.99, or individually for $3.99 each.
There’s no word from Ubisoft if the change in pricing model in coming to the game’s Android version as well, for now the episode remains $4.99 on Google Play.
Valiant Hearts launched last June on PC, PS3, PS4 Xbox 360 and Xbox One. It released for iOS in September and for Android in November.
