United Front announces new Sleeping Dogs game Triad Wars

Sleeping Dogs co-developer United Front Games has announced Triad Wars, a new title based in the same universe as the hit open-world action adventure game.

The studio officially confirmed the news yesterday, following last week’s appearance of the title’s trademark filed by publisher Square Enix.

"We’re super-excited that it’s another game based in the Sleeping Dogs universe,” a United Front spokesperson wrote.

It’s something we’ve wanted to do for ages and we’re very happy to be working with Square Enix again.”

The developer didn’t mention a release window or platforms, but did state that more info would arrive in 2014.

Sleeping Dogs launched in August 2012 on PC, PS3 and Xbox 360, shipping over 1.5m copies just a few months after launch.
