Unreal Tournament 3 to blast in on November 23rd

Midway has today revealed to MCV that Unreal Tournament 3 will be released on PC on November 23rd in the UK.

The latest title in the hugely successful FPS franchise from Epic Games has been in development for over two years and is eagerly awaited by gamers worldwide. The game will enjoy an official launch event tomorrow (November 8th) at the Omega Sektor venue in Birmingham and is also scheduled for release on console formats at a later date.

"Unreal Tournament is undoubtedly one of the best known FPS gaming franchises in the world and the anticipation surrunding the launch has been rising to fever pitch over the last few months," said Midway’s European MD Martin Spiess.

"We’re delighted to be announcing November 23rd as the street date for the game on PC, and to be joined by its creator Mark Rein from Epic at the game’s premiere being held at Birmingham’s Omega Sektor this Thursday.

"This is a massive title for Midway to be ending an extremely successful year on and we look forward to making further announcements regarding the console launches shortly."
