Valve starts shipping Vive VR developer kits

Developers selected to receive a dev kit for the new Vive VR headset should be receiving them soon.

Valve announced that it has started shipping the Vive Developer Editionsvia the Steam website, havingopened applications for the hardware back in April.

Hinting at the variety of companies that will soon get theirs hands on the tech, Valve wrote: This first wave includes a wide range of developers from major movie studios, triple-A developers, to small indie teams working on their first title. We will continue to ship to additional developers through the spring and summer.”
