Vanquish dated for Europe

Sega has announced that upcoming sci-fi shooter Vanquish will be released in the UK on October 22nd.

Furthermore, those who have pre-ordered the game with certain retailers will be granted access to a DLC pack containing three weapons that will hit both Xbox Live and PSN on the day of release.

The Xbox 360 and PS3 title, produced by Platinum Games of Bayonetta and Mad World fame, will not, in the words of director Shinji Mikami, be a normal” shooter and will emphasise speed and fast-paced action. It will be set in the future and revolve around a war between Russia and America.

Mikami was also responsible for creating the Resident Evil franchise.
