VIDEO: Alien: Isolation TV ad is suitably horrifying

There’s something stalking us, something that doesn’t belong here.”

Sega has released its official TV for upcoming horror outing Alien: Isolation.

The short focuses mainly on the iconic xenomorph itself and ramps up the tension by emphasizing the player’s relative helplessness in the face of such an overwhelming foe.

A bit of melee combat is shown off against a humanoid adversary (presumably an android) but the bulk of the action simply shows the player cowering or trying to find an escape.

It’s sure to strike a chord with fans of the IP and will undoubtedly have wide appeal amongst the gaming public.

Alien: Isolation will be released on PS4, Xbox One, PS3, Xbox 360 and PC on October 7th.
