VIDEO: Assassin’s Creed Unity officially confirmed

Ubisoft has confirmed the next game in the Assassin’s Creed series.

It’s called Assassin’s Creed Unity and it’s due out on next-gen machines at some point in the future, presumably this year. This time there will be no current-gen version. Instead, it is understood PS3 and Xbox 360 will get a seperate AC title.

The video confirms a French revolutionary setting.

We have been working on the new Assassin’s Creed for more than three years and although we weren’t quite ready to show you our full vision for a next-gen only AC, it seems Abstergo are trying to force our hand,” says the brief press blurb.

So here’s a true first look at in-game footage from Assassin’s Creed Unity. Stay tuned – we’ll have many more exciting details for you in the months ahead!
