VIDEO: There’s a new Star Wars RPG coming in 2015

Battlefront won’t be the only Star Wars game on offer later this year.

Kabam has announced Star Wars: Uprising, a mobile RPG that takes place between Episode VI: Return of the Jedi and this year’s Episode VII: The Force Awakens.

Uprising will include extensive character creation and customisation, with players able to take on missions and build up their crew from existing Star Wars characters and unique newcomers.

Synchronous co-operative multiplayer is also touted, as well as large-scale battles across entire sectors of the title’s universe.

Existing Star Wars environments confirmed to be in the game include Hoth and Cloud City. The collectible items and gear will include iconic apparel such as the Storm Trooper helmet.

Among the Kabam RPG Studio team helming the project is Daniel Erickson, former creative director of MMO Star Wars: The Old Republic and Danny Keller, the Emmy-award nominee behind animated spin-off Star Wars: The Clone Wars.
