VIDEO: UK release confirmed for Dead or Alive 5: Last Round

Koei Tecmo has confirmed that Dead or Alive 5: Last Round will be released in both America and Europe.

The game was announced as part of Sony’s pre-Tokyo Game Show press event yesterday.

Furthermore, Last Round will be sold for less than your typical RRP – 34.99 on PS4 and Xbox One and 24.99 on PS3 and Xbox 360. The game will be released physically and digitally on the current consoles, although on PS3 and Xbox 360 it will be digital only.

A visual upgrade is promised, both to the fighters themselves and the game’s environments. Speaking of fighters – Last Round will have the largest roster of fighters ever seen in a Dead or Alive title, along with a total of 300 costumes.

Any DLC purchased for Dead or Alive: Ultimate can be transferred from last-gen machines to the PS4 and Xbox One versions, too.

Dead or Alive 5 Last Round marks an exciting step forward for the franchise, and one that fans have been asking for,” Team Ninja boss Yosuke Hayashi said.

Bringing the game to a new generation of consoles is allowing us to create the most graphically striking version of any Dead or Alive game ever, and we are very happy to give our fans the chance to experience our signature high energy fighting entertainment as only the latest consoles can deliver it.”
