Vin Diesel announces third Riddick game

Hot on the heels of the character’s third cinema outing, confirmation of a third video game starring Vin Diesel’s Riddick has been unearthed.

Furthermore, the game will be developed by the same people who put together 2004’s impressive Escape from Butcher Bay.

OXM spotted Vin Diesel himself confirming in a Screencrush interview that: "My diehard gamers want Tigon to deliver the third chapter in the Riddick game. And we just of the past couple of months, just this year, reassembled that team from Starbreeze that brought Escape from Butcher Bay to create the third game."

Vin Diesel’s interest in the games industry is genuine and based on personal enthusiasm as much as anything else.

His studio, Tigon Studios, helped bring Vin Diesel to consoles previously not just in the Riddick games but also in Midways’ 2009 title The Wheelman.

Diesel also expressed his enthusiasm for World of Warcraft in a 2009 TV interview with fellow gamer Jonathan Ross.
