Rockstar’s popular shooter series returns to shelves today with the release of Max Payne 3.

The action blockbuster revisits the grizzled cop with a penchant for slow motion dives as he tackles everyone from New York lowlifes to Brazilian street gangs. There is even a range of multiplayer modes to try out.

Younger gamers will no doubt opt for Deep Silver’s Cartoon Network: Punch Time Explosion, an adventure game for kids that brings together the worlds of Ben 10, The Powerpuff Girls and more.

Also out today is The Testament of Sherlock Holmes (Focus Home Interactive) and Athletics Tournament (PQube).
