Wii budget chart coming soon?

GFK ChartTrack has revealed to MCV that it is ready to produce a Wii Budget Chart as soon as the industry wants it.

GFK ChartTrack’s Chris Poole confirmed: As long as everyone is in agreement then it’s something that we’ll produce and publish without a problem. If people want it then we’ll produce it.”

The lack of a dedicated Wii Budget label is one of the main reasons the anticipated Wii Budget chart has yet to arrive, as Poole explained:

The launch of the PS3 Platinum label led to the need for the PS3 Budget chart, but we don’t actually have a budget label for Nintendo Wii. However it is something we can definitely implement and if ELSPA are in agreement then we will publish it.”

The firm did reveal that it isn’t about to spring a Wii budget chart on the industry yet: It is not right around the corner, but I expect a Wii Budget chart to happen reasonably soon.”

Following the July acquisition of ChartTrack by GFK, the firm is also now to provide the first multi-continent view of video game software sales in conjunction with NPD and Enterbrain.
