Xbox 360 app lets you order pizza, built custom pizzas with Kinect

Gamers can now order pizza directly through their Xbox 360 consoles.

But perhaps more importantly, they can also design their own custom pizzas using Kinect and then have them delivered directly to their homes. They can also navigate the program using gestures and voice.

The Pizza Hut app first and foremost allows users to order anything from the chain’s menu. The app can be linked to existing Pizza Hut accounts and will offer deals from local stores.

"We’re always looking at ways to give our audience more of what they’re interested in," Xbox community guru Larry Hyrb told Polygon. "If you look at our audience, they love pizza. I mean, who doesn’t? It has international appeal, and Pizza Hut is a recognized brand that matches up well with the Xbox brand.

"Pizza Hut has always showed affinity for new ways to order products. Now we can do it on console. The app was a logical progression.

"It’s important to us that we provide the right experience, and we’ll go where the audience is interested in taking us. If they have an appetite for it, we’ll investigate it."
