Xbox One March update out now

Microsoft has released this month’s Xbox One firmware update, officially adding screenshot support to the console along with a few other features.

The oft-requested screenshot feature is finally available for all owners of Microsoft’s hardware, allowing users to take screen captures by double-tapping the Xbox button on Xbox One controllers and save them by pressing the Y button. Those with Kinect active can also say Xbox, take a screenshot” to get the job done.

Xbox One’s March update also adds a suggested friends option, which lets users browse through a list of users based on people you may know,” as well as notable community broadcasters and clip creators to potentially pal around with.

The ability to report spam that’s received through the Messenger app, and enhancements to party chat have also been implemented as part of the new patch. Here’s Microsoft’s accompanying announcement video:
