Xbox One S starts at £249 in the UK

Microsoft has confirmed the British pricing for its brand new Xbox One S.

In a blog post on Xbox Wire, the platform holder revealed that the 500GB edition of the Xbox One S will set UK gamers back 249; meanwhile that 1TB SKU will cost 299.

That’s on top of a limited edition 2TB version, which will cost 349.

The previously leaked Xbox One S was officially announced today by Microsoft at its E3 press event.

This new SKU is 40 per cent smaller than the OG Xbox One, supports 4K Blu-Ray and video streaming and comes with a slightly redesigned controller. If that wasn’t enough, the power brick has not been internalised. Furthermore, the Kinect port has been axed.

The announcement of the Xbox One S comes shortly after Microsoft announced a price cut for the original Xbox One.
