Xbox World shares next Xbox console details before closing – report

Xbox World appears to be cleaning out its closet ahead of the magazine’s planned shutdown next month.

The UK publication’s penultimate issue brings an 8-page feature claiming to expose Microsoft’s next-gen Xbox. For starters, the mag believes the upcoming console will again bear "Xbox" as its lone title and will introduce Kinect 2.0.

The piece also states the hardware will use Blu-ray discs and feature directional audio, a TV output and input, an ‘innovative’ controller, and AR glasses – to come sometime after the console’s launch .

They reckon all this will be official well before E3 2013.

"Xbox World has been at the cutting edge of Durango coverage for over 12 months," Xbox World editor-in-chief Dan Dawkins told CVG. "Unless something really dramatic changes, everything we reveal in our penultimate issue will be revealed long before E3 in June."
