XCOM 2 set for PS4 and Xbox One

Hit PC strategy game XCOM 2 will come to consoles after all.

Developer Firaxis has teamed up with The Workshop to deliver a PS4 and Xbox One version of the game. The title is set for release on September 9th in Europe.

Gamers who pre-order the title will receive the Resistance Warrior Pack, which features further customisation options and a new XCOM recruit calledSurvivor of the Old War”.

A Digital Deluxe Edition will also be available. Pre-orders for this version will come with the XCOM 2 Reinforcement Pack, which includes theResistance Warrior Pack and all the game’s DLC.

2K’s vice president of marketing Matt Gorman commented: Firaxis has successfully enhanced theXCOMfranchise, as XCOM 2 has earned both massive critical and fan acclaim.
