You can now buy Xbox Live credit via text message

Did you know you’re able to buy Xbox Live and PSN credit and content via text message?

BuyGameCredit.com has announced that a range of Xbox Live content is now available to buy through its service. It works by having buyers text a specific code to its number. The charge is added to a user’s phone bill or taken from their Pay As You Go credit. The code for the content is then texted directly to their device.

All of which may be especially handy for those without access to a credit or debit card. Purchases can also be made by entering your phone number into the website.

The site currently offers gift cards for both Xbox Live and PSN, as well as a small selection of game content such as the Fallout 4 Season pass, FIFA 16 Points or in-game Grand Theft Auto V items.

Do note that text prices seem to be a little higher than RRP.

Xbox UK’s Lee Williams stated: We are excited that Phonovation will help even more of our Xbox fans enjoy games, movies, apps and music on Xbox Live.”
