Capcom not attending Gamescom 2013

Capcom will be a no-show at this year’s Gamescom in Cologne.

The Resident Evil publisher usually uses the world’s biggest trade and consumer games show to exhibit its upcoming titles, as well as announce new ones, but has decided to skip the event this year.

A Capcom representative told VG247 via email: "We’re not attending Gamescom this year."

The company has little in the way of announced titles currently in the works beyond the download-only DuckTales Remastered, sci-fi shooter Lost Planet 3 and the tentatively-titled PS4 RPG Deep Down.

However, while the publisher will not be at Gamescom, it is expected to attend this year’s Tokyo Games Show, which kicks off on September 19th.

Gamescom 2013 will be held at Cologne’s Koelnmesse from Wednesday, August 21st to Sunday, August 25th.
