Dead Space 3 Awakened DLC arrives next month

EA has announced the first bit of post-release DLC for Dead Space 3, revealing the game’s Awakened add-on will launch in March.

"Players will experience the franchise’s darkest chapters as the Necromorph battles become even more gruesome and terrifying than ever before,” read EA’s press release. It’s unclear if the content will tie-in to the game’s campaign, or if it will be co-op focused.

No specific release date(s) mentioned beyond next month, but the content will land on Xbox 360, PS3, and PC – priced at $9.99 (800 MS Points).

"In Dead Space 3 Awakened, gamers will experience some of the most disturbing content they have ever seen in a Dead Space game — they are going to love it," said Steve Papoutsis, Visceral Games vice president and general manager.

Dead Space 3 released in North America yesterday, and launches across other territories later this week.
