Submissions open for the Zoo Publishing indie games contest

$150,000 on offer in global indie talent hunt

Zoo Publishing is hosting a games contest for its independent developer community, with a top prize of $50,000 on offer.

Submissions for the contest are open until February 18th, with the winners announced at developer event SXSW ScreenBurn on March 13th.

As well as a $50,000 grand prize on offer, another four category winners will take home $25,000 each.

Finalists selected in the categories of Best Art, Best Audio, Best Design and Technical Excellence will each be provided with flights and accommodations to attend the event. All finalists will be offered the chance to have their games published by Zoo.

“SXSW is where creative spirit thrives, so we’re proud to be focusing more on the art and design of video games by partnering with indiePub on the ScreenBurn Independent Propeller Awards," said SXSW ScreenBurn account exec Justin Burnham.

“With its history of helping raw talent refine their skills to create outstanding original games, indiePub Games was the natural partner for this exciting new component of SXSW Interactive,” he added.
