10th annual competition sees 173 entrants

2008 Independent Games Festival finalists announced

The finalists for the 2008 Independent Games Festival have been announced by competition organisers CMP.

28 finalists have been selected from 173 entries, split into the six categories of Best Web Browser Game, Design Innovation, Excellence in Visual Art, Excellence in Audio, Technical Excellence and the Seamus McNally Grand prize. Nominations include the physics puzzle game Crayon Physics Deluxe and The Path, a short horror game inspired by Little Red Ridinghood.

The full list of finalists can be found at the Independent Games Festival website, and winners will be announced at an awards ceremony on February 20th.
