AU$7,000 up for grabs for bot writers

2K Australia launches the ‘2K Bot Prize’

2K Australia has launched a competition to find the hottest AI programmers, offering AU$7,000 and a trip to itsCanberra studios to the team that can create an Unreal Tournament 2004 bot that can pass the ‘Bot Turing Test’.

As the name suggests, the competition will award the team that manages to fool a panel of judges into thinking that a bot is in fact an actual player, similar to Turing’s currently un-won challenge.

The competition will be part of the IEEE Symposium on Computational Intelligence and Games, which takes place in Perth between December 15th and 18th. For more information, check out the 2K Bot Prize website.
