2K opening Bay Area studio

Rod Fergusson will be stepping in as the head of a new 2K Games studio in the Bay Area.

After Seven years at Epic as executive producer and production director for the Gears of War franchise, Fergusson joined Irrational Games in August of last year to help finish BioShock Infinite.

He left Irrational soon after the game shipped, but according to his Twitter account he’s already on to new adventures.

“It’s official: I’m launching a new studio for 2K in the Bay Area with an exciting new project! Details soon!” said Fergusson.

Just what 2K plans will be news for another day, but those in the vicinity should stay on the lookout for some possible job opportunities.
