Developer planning console versions of Duke Nukem Forever

3D Realms takes Duke multi-platform

3D Realms and its publishing partner 2K Games are aiming to release their long-awaited Duke Nukem Forever on consoles as well as PCs, Develop’s sister site MCV revealed yesterday.

The game has been in development for around ten years, gaining a reputation for having the longest dev period in gaming history. The title has always been scheduled for PC, given 3D Realms’ background as a PC developer, but now the company will be working together with 2K to bring the game to current-generation platforms.
