British studios offered cash to attend Game Connection industry dating service

£1k trade exhibitor fund for UK devs

UK developers are again being offered up to £1,000 each to exhibit their business overseas.

British industry association TIGA is the go-to group for the latest cash fund, purpose-made for developers looking to attend Game Connection in Lyon and promote their company.

The money can be used either to cover the costs of exhibitor stands or rooms, though travel spend is not eligible for reimbursement.

The money will be provided by Government group UKTI, and Develop is told there’s enough available space for those interested to seriously consider applying by emailing venessa@tiga.org

Game Connection is the industry equivalent of a speed-dating event, where dozens of potential partners have the chance to meet face to face and strike partnerships.

Industry groups attending can provide services across a game’s production pipeline, from the concept to the outsourcing, publishing, distribution and financing.

The 2010 event includes investment pitches, master classes, and project demonstrations.

Early bird rates close September 4th.
